Quick Bio

The Undertaker is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE. He is the company's most tenured performer, and he's also the only remaining active competitor from the very first episode of WWE Raw in 1993. Calaway began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in 1984. In 1990, Calaway signed with the World Wrestling Federation and The Undertaker was born. The rest, as they say, was history!

Kurt Angle on Taker and WM22

Kurt Angle did a Facebook Q&A with fans this past week. The Taker question is posted below:

Did you want to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 22 and break The Streak instead of facing him at No Way Out?

Undertaker at Mania was only a thought that Undertaker came up with. I would have preferred him at Mania. Not to break the streak, but for the respect I have for him. At that point in his career, he didn’t have that “Mania Match” he always wanted. But he did after WM 22. Shawn Michaels, HHH. So I’m happy he got the mania matches he deserved.

Very interesting. I still believe it should’ve been Taker vs Angle at WM22, not so Angle can break The Streak especially since he left WWE that year, but because it made sense storyline wise. It would’ve also been a great way for Taker to have a lengthy Title run as he was healthy enough for it in 2006. For Angle to say he didn’t get the “Mania match” Taker always wanted till he faced HBK & HHH….I don’t know. He and Batista had the match of the night at WM23 and he had a wonderful masterpiece with Edge the following year. He must have been pretty proud about those matches. But if Angle’s statement is true, I can understand it because those 4 matches with HBK and HHH were the best and match of the night from WM25-28. Quite an accomplishment there and one I don’t think anyone has reached yet. Flair said Taker requested him for WM18. I respect Taker for that. But because of Flair’s age, it wasn’t expected to be a classic and it wasn’t. But it was good for what it was. I believe Taker may have requested Kane for WM14 and WM20, or at least one of them. In My Yard, Taker said he loved the match with Kane at WM14, describing it accurately as “an all out physical war” and it was exactly that.

Can we expect to ever see the undertaker on WWE on a regular basis again or is he done fighting heath problems? WWE has become boring without him and anyone like him the generation come up couldn’t begin to match him or the Sniper they just don’t have the tough enough class that these men have. sorry but it is true.
