The Undertaker is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE. He is the company's most tenured performer, and he's also the only remaining active competitor from the very first episode of WWE Raw in 1993. Calaway began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in 1984. In 1990, Calaway signed with the World Wrestling Federation and The Undertaker was born. The rest, as they say, was history!

JR Does Not Think Taker Is Done

    Taker1993 Asks:
Hi Jim, I have two quick questions I’m a huge undertaker fan and I want to know do you still believe undertaker will return to wrestle again? And also if he does do you believe this will be his last year or can he continue as a part timer alittle longer?
    J.R.’s Answer:
I’ve addressed this same question numerous time…Taker has not retired and I think that he has a select, limited number of matches left in him and I would hope that the wrestles at WM33 in Orlando. Time will tell.

    undertaker4ever Asks:
How’s it going JR? Just rewatched UT vs Shane in HIAC at WM32. What do you think what the significance or meaning behind Taker removing both of his MMA gloves after the match was over?
    J.R.’s Answer:
I have no idea other than to infer to some that he’s done which he;s not.

I don’t think Taker’s going to publicity state he’s done, not verbally or through some kind of action like removing his gloves after his match. I think Taker may just quietly walk off. Not only dos it fit the man. It fits the Undertaker character. JR feels WWE will make a big deal out of it and I see why he has that opinion. I don’t know Taker would want a ceremony as much as the fans believe he deserves one because a ceremony invokes attention and Taker’s not an attention guy as he’s described at someone who backstage just keeps to himself. Taker’s very private and low-key. He’s the only individual I know of in a social media dominant world that does not engage in such things himself at all. No Twitter, Facebook, internet, nothing. Our only link to his outside of wrestling is whatever his wife posts.

Legends of JBL with Sting airs this week unless it already aired. Saw the trailer for that where JBL questions Sting about that one more match with Taker. Sting’s retired. But I’m still interested to hear what he has to say on that and if anything, on Taker.

Then why he Removed the gloves ?!
He did removed the gloves which he knows very well is a retirement sign in MMA.

Sting vs taker ? Why not ..
If sting is ready and able to wrestle…
Being a hall of famer should not stop him going 1 on1 against taker .

Taker having a ceremony? as a fan . I think taker should have a perfect last match and the result for me is very important .
I don’t want to see taker looses his last match anyway.
I refuse to see that scene .
I will be so disappointed if he ends his career with a loss .
Taker already a big loss against brock in last last phase of his career
      No more .. please

Actually taker does have a Facebook fan page under his real name. There are numerous photos of him and others in his life on there. It also has videos of him working out and everything.

Yeah, right…….. It’s one of many fakes. His old lady said he doesn’t have Facebook on her social media accounts.

Here’s my thoughts. Paul Bearer stated years ago when he was alive, that Taker would go out the way he came in. Back then it was grey gloves tie and hat. I’d preferably like to see the purple tie, hat, gloves and boot one last time and let him be that unstoppable force where nothing hurts him. I’ve never respected a wrestler more than him. And listening to other wrestlers speak of him, I’m not the only one. So in my fantasy little world him placing those mma style gloves down may indicate he’s going back to the early stages of his career. I’d love that if he did. Truly I would.

I agree with you Brandon what you said I would also like to see him go back to his early stages of his career too with the purple gloves ,tie ,hat and boots one last time with the scary lmake up on his face I saw the interview of paul bearer years ago it was back in 2005 when he said that when he retired that he would go out the way he came in I am looking forward to see this it will be so awesome .

Taker removing his gloves means nothing. There is after show fan footage of Taker, Kane & Daniel Bryan in the UK (on youtube) where he throws gloves into the UK crowd.

Look for a video of Bryan trying to get Taker to hug him. At the start of the video he’s walking past Bryan taking off the gloves and throwing them.

      @Brandon and john peeler:

Love the purple. But the grey’s more iconic. He started in WWE with dark grey/black gloves and that’s the look he had when he went 1-0 at WM. But the grey look is when he got two straight WM wins (WM8 and WM9), iconic moments like the Funeral Parlour segments involving a casket with Ultimate Warrior in 91, Jake Roberts in 92. The grey looks is when he ascended to heaven in 94. And the grey looks is where he achieved probably his greatest accomplishment at that time, his world title win over Hogan at Survivor Series 91 a year after he debuted in WWE at that same event.

Actually I wouldn’t mind a “hybrid classic look” and by that I mean the 1991 attire, but with the mid-90’s facial look with the ghost/zombie like make-up and the longest length of hair he ever had probably in his entire WWE career. Look up 94, specifically Summerslam or something when he had so much hair, it was all the way down to his mid or lower back and was covering his face so much he really didn’t need a mask to give his face a mysterious hidden nature or sorts to it as his long lengthy hair already did that for him. The Opera mask could also be part of his entrance attire, removed in the pre-match removal of his entrance attire. At this point, him wrestling with a mask, I don’t know….just wouldn’t be fitting. However considering how cool the mask was, would be nice if he made a comeback. And being part of his entrance attire is really the only fitting way I personally can see that. Either way, the original long coat & hat should return as should the druids along with of course their torches. Theme….we should hear 2 original 1991 gongs, followed by the gongs in his 1998 theme, which leads into his current hybrid theme. I remember creating this to the best ability possible in the 2K game and I LOVED how it came out so much I just wanted wanted WWE’s slick, flashy professional production to works its magic on this as it’d blow the game’s effects out of the park.
