There’s a lot of speculation on The Undertaker’s status for WrestleMania 33 as he reportedly underwent surgery recently.
PWInsider reports that The Deadman was using those crutches to walk because he recently had hip surgery.
No word yet on exactly when Taker had the surgery but he apparently attended a wedding the first week of September and did not have the crutches.

Hey JR. Long time fan and even bigger fan of the chipotle ketchup! Quick question (sorry if it’s been asked to death). A lot of buzz recently about undertaker on crutches. My question isn’t about him wrestling or anything. Is he ok? I’m just concerned as a long time fan, I don’t like to see those things. Also, what’s the relationship like between taker and lesnar? Have always wondered. Seemed like they had heat but then others say they get along great. Was always just curious. Thanks so much for answering all the fans questions. And thanks for the bbq sauce!
J.R.’s Answer:
I am unaware of any issues between Taker and Lesnar and I am of the mindset that they both have a great deal of respect for each other. Apparently, Taker had a minor hip procedure done that placed him on crutches for the time being.
LFCRHB Asks:
Do you think undertaker has retired ?
J.R.’s Answer:
No…not until he says that he is.
Taker1993 Asks:
Hi Jim, undertaker is my favorite wrestler of all time and it amazes me at his age that he still delivers top quality matches that even exceed the younger talents at times, knowing taker like you do is he that passionate about what he does to be able to perform like he does and adapt every year? Thanks
J.R.’s Answer:
Taker is a legit athlete who loves to compete & perform. A great motor motivates him.
Joeymurphy97 Asks:
who do you think undertaker will face at maina or who would you like to see him face
J.R.’s Answer:
Gosh, I have no idea but it will be a top hand one would assume. Theres no guarantee that he will be the card but I’d bet that he is.

J.R, My soon-to-be bride (October 23rd) gifted me last night a WWE Network subscription so I watched the HHH documentary Thy Kingdom Come and I have to say one of the highlights was the Undertaker’s commentary. I know how private a man he is but I think he could be an excellent broadcaster when he hangs up the boots.
J.R.’s Answer:
While Taker is articulate and a good communicator I don’t see him as a weekly broadcaster.
Joeymurphy97 Asks:
Do you see undertaker in a match at next years maina ?
J.R.’s Answer:
That is my assumption…time will tell.
