Quick Bio

The Undertaker is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE. He is the company's most tenured performer, and he's also the only remaining active competitor from the very first episode of WWE Raw in 1993. Calaway began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in 1984. In 1990, Calaway signed with the World Wrestling Federation and The Undertaker was born. The rest, as they say, was history!

Jim Ross Idea For The Undertaker Vs. Roman Reigns

The Undertaker returned this week to send a message to let RAW’s resident Big Dog, Roman Reigns, know that the WWE was indeed still his yard. The exchange now puts the two on a clear path to a match at WrestleMania 33.

While many are assuming Roman Reigns will pick up the victory, WWE Hall of Famer and long time voice of the WWE, Jim Ross has the perfect idea for how the epic match should go down.

Good Ol’ JR posted a new blog entry over at his website giving his thoughts on various topics, including the Reigns Taker battle.

“Taker/Reigns interaction was money. Loved the choke slam and so did the fans in the great, wrestling city of Chicago.

I’d likely put Reigns over in Orlando via cheating to gain an unfair advantage as it would facilitate Reigns leaving WrestleMania with immense heat and bragging rights to carry Roman farther down the road. That obviously sets up the eventual ‘face turn which will make Roman Reigns the huge, fan favorite, face of the company talent that has been WWE’s focus for a long while.”

I couldn’t agree with Jim Ross any more, but unfortunately, I don’t see it happening. If Vince’s handling of John Cena over the past decade is any indication, Roman Reigns will stay exactly the same for the forseeable future.

How many times have we thought “this is the perfect chance for John Cena to embrace the hate and turn heel” only to have him stay the exact same. Vince sees big money in Roman Reigns as the superhero to replace Cena when he’s off running the entertainment world.

The entire reason Vince decided to reportedly scratch John Cena’s match with Undertaker this year is because he felt like Taker’s time was dwindling and he wanted to be certain that The Phenom had the chance to pass the torch to The Guy before his career came to an end.

It’s much more likely we’ll see their match end with the typical “show of respect” hand raise than a Roman Reigns heel turn.

Next up for WWE is the crown jewel, the showcase of the immortals WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida. The show kicks off Sunday, April 2nd, and you can find the fully announced card below.

United States Champion Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens

RAW’s Women’s Champion Bayley vs Charlotte Flair vs Sasha Banks

Universal Champion Goldberg Vs Brock Lesnar

Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton or AJ Styles

Rumored Matches include: John Cena and Nikki Bella Tag Match against The Miz and Maryse, The Big Show vs Shaq, and Triple H vs Seth Rollins.

    Post Discussion
    • Anan on March 20th, 2017 says:

I thin Reigns should turn heel. How is the question. Possible ways:
      1. During the build up, Reigns, during an interview or promo responds t the fans’ boos by saying “screw Taker and screw all of you! YOU DARE BOO ME??!!!” He can even attack the beloved Taker for even more heat if given the opportunity.

      2. At WM, he interferes in whatever match WWE deems appropriate for him to interfere in considering who his post-WM33 opponent is scheduled to be. Later on, someone does an interview asking him “Roman, we just saw you interfere in (whatever) match and cost (whoever) the victory? Why? Shouldn’t you be fully focusing on the biggest match of your career against The Undertaker? Reigns reply is “Ha! Biggest match of my career? Against Taker? No I don’t think so. It’s MY yard now and I am THE GUY, The Big Dog. Did you see how fast I eliminated him from the RR? He ain’t nothin anymore, hasn’t been since The Streak was broken. I am going to end him tonight, easily. No problem. And for those who don’t like it and boo me, screw em! Believe that.”

      3. Reigns loses, attacks Taker after the match. This has happened before. Remember WM14?
