Quick Bio

The Undertaker is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE. He is the company's most tenured performer, and he's also the only remaining active competitor from the very first episode of WWE Raw in 1993. Calaway began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) in 1984. In 1990, Calaway signed with the World Wrestling Federation and The Undertaker was born. The rest, as they say, was history!

Taker/Lesnar Now A Lock Again At WM 30??? More Sting Rumors…

    – Batista vs. Brock Lesnar: As we had reported, that Batista vs. Brock Lesnar has been teased recently on TV by the WWE and it might have appeared that the same is being done for the WrestleMania 30. Although, latest news coming out of WWE suggests that Batista vs. Brock Lesnar is being teased to build something between the two for sometime later this year and not for WrestleMania.

As of now, The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar seems a lock for the WrestleMania XXX unless a fresh change of plans occur.

With news that Sting and the WWE have been closing in on a contract, nothing has been officially signed yet as Sting is still waiting to sign the deal and it is unlikely he’ll be used on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The same can be said for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, though both are almost guaranteed to be at WrestleMania 31 in California.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Sting has yet to sign a deal with the WWE but the two parties are very close to having the deal set in stone. According to the report, the two sides are working on the merchandising part of the deal and once that is complete Sting will come aboard to the WWE.

The report also states that the idea is to not use Sting at theWrestleMania XXX event as of now but it can always change. It was rumored that Sting may take on The Undertaker at the event, but with the deal taking a while to sign, Sting will likely be held off of the event or used in a vignette of some sort while The Undertaker is still rumored to take on Brock Lesnar.

The internal feeling is that Sting will be used at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and there have rumors of a future Hall of Fame induction for the superstar who has often eluded the WWE while staying a WCW icon and then a TNA mainstay following the company’s collapse in 2001.

As for The Rock, Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the WWE’s merchandising department was told not to distribute anything with him on it by himself though they were still allowed to produce items that have him with a group of people. The Rock told the WWE in August that he would not be able to do any business with them for WrestleMania XXX due to conflicts with his movie schedule.

The Rock also said that he would likely be able to do WrestleMania 31 in California. The Rock has also said publically that he will try to do WrestleMania 31. There were previous reports that the early plans for WrestleMania XXX called for The Rock to take on Brock Lesnar at the event, but once The Rock informed the WWE in August that he couldn’t partake, they shook up their plans.

After a seven year hiatus from the company, The Rock has done each WrestleMania from 27-29, but it looks as though he’ll miss the biggest event of the year this time around while Sting remains close to a contract but likely won’t be appearing at the event either.

Rock…..he’ll take up time and will likely be in one of the top billed matches. If not, he’d probably continue his Hollywood career over working another WWE event. I see this as being a catch-22 deal where he’d take the spots of talent who actually deserve that spot. However, he will draw ticket sales. As long as he shows up for the build unlike the stunt he pulled for the WM29 build, I can tolerate him working another WM.

Sting….been saying for some time that if he does a WM, it’ll be next year. It makes sense. He’s been billed as being from Venice Beach, CALIFORNIA. CALIFORNIA is the keyword there as that is the site for next year’s Wrestlemania 31 event. Sting being on the card will draw tickets as people have been wishing for him to work WM for years and it is more than likely we’ll get the match with Taker everyone, including Sting has been wanting to have.

The Pope, who was known as Elijah Burke said in a recent interview “Steve Borden owes it to himself to have a Wrestlemania moment.” Whether he has that moment or not remains to be seen. But it can’t be denied that he does deserve to have that moment. For that reason, I hope he gets it. Reportedly, WWe’s been wanting to sign him. Sting confirmed this. I can’t help but respect him from staying away as long as he has and building an iconic career without the use of WWE. Who else can say they’ve done that? Every other known name out there as worked at one time or another in WWE. Still, I wish he’d go.

So first its on and then its off again? Which one is it? Taker will win we know that much, its just who wants to line up to be his next victim. I’d like him to return in time to “take back his yard” from the Shield punks, and maybe that’s what Bray meant when he screamed “I welcome this war” against the Shield, as Raw was going off the air.

    • Anan on February 7th, 2014 says:

Everyone has their own opponent for Taker, including WWE and probably Taker himself. W won’t know who the chosen one is to face him until Taker returns and challenges someone or more than likely until someone makes the challenge to him. Until then, it’ll be rumors that have no solid evidence.

The Shield….you and Roy seem to be two of few who want him to face The Shield just because they put him through a table. I am of the belief that Taker does not need to get revenge on everyone who’s taken him out. The Shield has had a dominant year and I think one of those reasons why was putting Taker through a table. In other words, I don’t think it was done to set up a feud so Taker can get revenge on them. It was to help get them over. Just because of his character, people think/expect Taker to get revenge. There’s no logic there as there isn’t a law in the business where someone has to get revenge on someone else. Kane buried Taker at Bragging Rights 2010. It is now 2014 and he still hasn’t gotten revenge on him.
